<< Back to Web Tips What is CMS Based? CMS is an acronym for “Content Management System”. The term CMS is generally used for websites, as the content for the website is managed by the CMS. Easy enough… So CMS based is a term that describes a website that is based or powered by a CMS. VivaNet 2.0 has been developing CMS based websites since 2003 although at the time we didn’t call it a CMS, it was just the website administrator. In the beginning we had developed our own custom CMS because Joomla, Drupal, and WordPress were either not popular or non-existent. The primary CMS for websites created by VivaNet 2.0 is Joomla. We feel as if Joomla is a very versatile CMS as well as extremely user friendly. |
