5 Must Have Apps Every Business Needs For Smart Device Productivity

Just about every business has some kind of smart device. Our phones are no longer used for making calls and texting only. We can take our simple smart device and make it profitable for business. From iPads to Galaxy Tablets to smart phones, we have full blown systems in the palm of our hand that can allow for creativity and productivity. These devices are great, and I have even heard talk that they will eventually replace laptops. In fact, just the other day at Best Buy, I saw an Android system with a attachable keyboard that had a touch mouse under the keyboard.

These devices can be a huge help to business productivity. I personally use Android based systems in my phone and my tablet. I also prefer a linux based pc, but I am not here to argue the point of Mac vs Windows vs Linux. That being said, I am sure you can find these same apps in Apple smart devices (or their equivalent), but I am share with you my favorite apps that I use on my Android based devices. Also note, these apps are free to use. Some do have an sponsor ad similar to google AdSense, to make sure your kids don't buy something while using your device...I had to learn the hard way!

Evernote

This is a simple notepad type of application that syncs with their database to give you access from multiple locations. It is free to create an account. You can also create multiple notebooks that have categories of specific notes. You can share your notes with others via social media applications you have installed on your device. What I personally like about this app is the fact that there is a desktop version that can be installed on your computer. This means that you can save a notebook with notes on your account, upload it to the server, and go home and access it on your own computer to print or what ever else. I have used this app to manage contacts because it has full note pads that I can add comments. I have also used it to plan out trips and other business related items. It's great because you create notebooks and then add notes to the respective book. It helps keep your notes organized.

Any.DO

This is another great productivity app. It is your simple to do list app. It's easy to use and comes with a widget that is easy to check off complete tasks. It's very basic, but very solid. If you have it installed on a phone, then you can assign missed calls to your to do list. I really like that feature when I in meetings and miss a call, it will ask me it I want to call now, place on to do list, or ignore. This helps me keep track of who I need to call. I also place things I need to get done for the day in this simple app. I am sure you will enjoy it as it helps you stay on track, if you refer to it often.

Mindjet

So, you have your note taking app and you to do app, what about planning? Well, I have you covered on that as well. Introducing....Mindjet, you all in one mind mapping software. I love this app, and I am not afraid to admit it. I have used this app to help me get my plans, thoughts, and ideas in order. I personally use it to plan out every aspect of the websites I own. In my church, I have planned entire events with this app on my Samsung Galaxy Android Tablet. I am one that likes to visualize what I imagine or think, therefore this mind mapping app for android systems is great. I depend no this app to create and plan ideas. Without it, I would be wasting pens and paper, because I make a lot of mistakes in my planning. No wasting pens and paper here, just edit your plans with a few taps, and you're done. This is a great app to help get your ideas visualized.

Advanced Task Killer

Now that you're running a to do list, notebook editor, and mind mapping app, you might notice things slowing down on your smart device. Plus you may have children that download every free game they can find, and test them all in one sitting. Now your device is really SLOOOOOW, what do you do. Well, it's good to restart your device every once and a while, but why not just kill all the running apps to free up some ram? Advanced Task Killer is your best solution. You can add a little widget that kills all the running apps with one tap, and it will even tell you how many apps were killed and how much space was freed in your ram. Yet, there is nothing wrong with taking your mind off work for a break and getting into your gamer mode. It will help in the long run, so enjoy!
