So, you are writing posts, you are getting a few hits, but you still want to your posts to have an impact and influence people for your intended purpose. Maybe you have a small gathering of faithful readers that enjoy your posts, but you still don't see the results you'd like, such as more sharing or comments. Well...I have a few more points that can help your blog posts be richer and more helpful to your readers.

So What Are Some Tips On Writing A Successful Blog Post?
I placed this thought 1st because if you only get on thing out of this post, then this is it! When people read a blog post, they are looking for answers. They need help or want advice. They want to learn something, be entertained, or just have a void they are trying to fill by searching the web for something to fill it. So, when they arrive to your blog, it has a great title, great images, a capturing post name, but when they start reading....they lose you. Maybe you wrote over their head. Maybe it was too boring. Maybe it didn't stir emotions. Maybe it was to elementary. Maybe, Maybe, Maybe....the list goes on. For what ever reason, they are just not connecting.
It is most likely that you have great content, information, entertainment, or what ever. The problem is not the reader, the problem is the writer. So many times we as bloggers write with a passion that only we understand. We need to learn how to help our followers. This is why research and a specific direction is important. When we find our target audience, we find which direction they are going. When we find the direction they are going, we then write our blog posts to help them continue in that direction. So the next time you write an article, ask yourself, am I writing to help me, or am I writing to help others?
This is probably the next most important part of the post, so if you only get two things from this post, then this is 2nd! Add personality to your posts. When you write with personality, your posts sound like the little voice in their head is reading to them, and just some monotone robot reading an essay. Personality helps your readers understand that there is a human element to your blog. When you add humor, spunk, wittiness, drama, joy, excitement, loudness, softness, or anything else, people realize that there is someone on a computer somewhere that has the same human emotions as everyone else.
Adding personality also means being a little transparent. Being transparent means that you talk about personal experiences that people can relate to. These personal experiences can be about success or failure, but either way, personal experiences help people relate to you as an author. When they can relate to you, they begin to trust you. When they begin to trust you, then you begin to influence them. As you influence your readers, because of personality, then your posts are starting to help them.
Now, if you only get three things from this post....well, I think you get the point, this also is important. Content is the meat of your message. This is why people come to your blog. When they type whatever phrase that brings them to your website, they are expecting to find something of value. They are hungry, an d your post should feed them. If your post is dry and dead with nothing that actually helps, then they will find some place with more meat.
I read a lot of blogs, they are the craze of the internet, well, next to social media. Anyone can start a blog, and most people have tried somewhere along their internet journey. Evey once and a while, I'll find a blog that somehow ranked high for what I looking for. When I arrive, it looks like it didn't read our post about Ugly Websites, it is out dated, and the content is, well, very shallow. I leave right away. Why? There was not meat for me to eat. So when you write blog posts, please remember that people are searching. If they don't find what they are looking for, they will find it somewhere else.
